Dmitri Rusov-Morningstar's education in the methods and materials of sustainable (green) building enables him to bring his clients and projects into full harmony with the environment and current building codes.  He enjoys working closely with his clientele in order to provide them with the safest and most cost-efficient design that meets their expressed desires and specifications. 

Dmitri has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, which includes eight years as a union member and builder.  After completing a four-year apprenticeship program and graduating as a journeyman in 1981, he worked several more years out of the Union hall.  As he accumulated experience, he began taking on jobs of his own.  In 1983 he explored drawing his own plans, which led him to a local junior college where he studied drafting. That was 25 years ago.  Since 1983 he has designed approximately 300 projects and has earned numerous certifications.

As a green building consultant in Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Sonoma County, Dmitri's building experience is an invaluable asset in his design ability.  He foresees problems which may occur in the field and fixes them on paper.  Dmitri guarantees his clients their required permits.  His highly detailed plans expedite the permit process as well as the actual construction, which saves clients time and money lost in unnecessary delays.

Society Affiliations

In 1988 Dmitri was sponsored into the American Institute of Architects as an Associate Member on the merit of his work.  He is still an active member today.  Dmitri has been a Professional Member of the ICBO (International Conference of Building Officials) and is an active member of the ICC (International Code Council) and CSI (Construction Specifications Institute).
